It's going to be a bumper harvest.. 


for asparagus this year according to local growers.  Well-known for its fabulous asparagus, the Norfolk weather has apparently been perfect for asparagus.  It seems the last couple of warm summers helped strong root development leading to good growth and a heavy crop of asparagus spears this year and the chillier spell this spring should help extend the cropping season too.  We get ours from the Tacons Farm at nearby Rollesby where Charlie Tacon has been telling BBCRadio Norfolk today he’s delighted with the quality of this season’s crop so you can expect to see it pop up on our menu in some of our favourite dishes.
