Chef Patron Daniel Smith brings a wealth of talent and experience to his kitchen at The Ingham Swan.
Norfolk-born, Daniel has an impressive track record over the last 20 years which includes working for the acclaimed Michel Roux Jr at the two Michelin starred London restaurant, Le Gavroche before moving back to Norfolk to work with another renowned chef - Galton Blackiston at Morston Hall where he achieved his first Michelin Star as Head Chef, aged 23.
He then spent a decade at the popular Wildebeest Arms in South Norfolk before opening The Ingham Swan, his first restaurant, in April 2010. During this time, he has built up a solid reputation and loyal following as being one of Norfolk's most innovative and creative chefs.
Daniel creates each menu to take full advantage of the selection of local produce that is readily available on the doorstep. And not being protective of his kitchen secrets, he regularly showcases his skills and inventive dishes with Cookery Demonstrations at The Ingham Swan, and also at prestigious local events such as The Royal Norfolk Show.

Head Chef Alex Clare
Alex was appointed Head Chef at The Ingham Swan in 2016 aged 20, having been part of the team at both The Ingham Swan and The Wildebeest since he was just 15 years old when he asked Chef Patron Daniel Smith if he could come into the kitchen alongside his school studies for a chance to learn on the job. Having risen through the ranks, he now juggles the responsibilities of a busy kitchen with passion, confidence and dedication and says you're never too good, too young, too old or too unintelligent, it's all about hard work and hustle and I am privileged to have had Daniel as my mentor, he continues to inspire me to be the best Chef I can be.
