Restaurant with a story

Step behind the scenes at The Ingham Swan. Here we’ll share with you a taste of news behind the stove, on our farm and in our intimate restaurant.

Summer on a plate...

There’s surely nothing that says “great British summer” more than freshly picked strawberries – however you like to eat them.  Some sprinkle on sugar, some say black pepper brings out the real taste, some keep them in the fridge and some say they have to be room temperature to bring out the sweetness.  However you like to eat them we don’t think there’s much that beats ripe, red strawberries and Our Farm at The Tacons in Rollesby tell us that their strawberry crops are just loving the summer sunshine. We’re also about to start cropping sweet and tasty new potatoes this week too.

Harvesting this week are baby leaf spinach, rocket and mixed salad – now that sounds like a delicious and colourful salad bowl to us. Main crop potatoes, onions, rhubarb and asparagus are also still at their best.
